What is it about avocados that are so adorable for all kinds of Valentine crafts, art and DIY cards? This “Let’s Avocuddle” DIY Avocado Valentine card is irresistible with the fun pom pom card addition as the avocado seed!
Let the kids make this adorable sensory pom pom card for Valentine’s Day this year. It’s sure to brighten up someone’s day and is so easy to make with our free printable card template (download below in the craft instruction card at the bottom).
The term “Avocuddle” is actually a trademark name of our friend Queenie’s Cards! We’re thankful to Queenie for allowing us to create this cute printable using her clever “avocuddle” name!
What makes this avocado card a fun Valentine card for kids to make?
First, kids will love practicing their scissor cutting skills by cutting the card template out and the holes where the avocado seeds are. They will love the tactile sensory activity of gluing the pom poms as seeds. They can also choose to add the insert that says “Happy Valentine’s Day” or they can simply cut out the avocado card and make it a one-dimensional card.
If in a rush for a card, you can even omit the pom poms and print as is to hand to someone and have the kids just sign their name! This card is super versatile and we made it this way because we know how busy parents are. We love including many different ways to hand out Valentines, from easy Valentine cards with templates, to more complex Valentine crafts.

DIY AVOCADO VALENTINE CARD
Materials
- Free printable card template
- Scissors
- Glue
- Two brown pom poms
Instructions
- Print out the free card template (outer and inner page)
- Cut along the lines through the length of the page.
- Glue the inside page to the outside page.
- Cut the brown circles out. Glue two brown pom poms. Make sure you cut the holes large enough to fit the pom poms. Ours are around one inch.
- Optional: you can just print out the card as is and not insert pom poms. Just cut and fold!
