It’s no secret that all children love dinosaurs. And honestly, rightfully so! Not only are they a super cool animal but they make great learning and educational activities as well.
These Printable Touch and Feel Sensory Dinosaur Cards are perfect for babies, toddler and preschool-aged children. I was inspired to make these in fact, from my toddler son’s favorite dinosaur book, Never Touch a Dinosaur.
Little ones will love the bright colors of the printed dinosaurs and feel as though they’re really exploring when they start to feel around with their hands.
Having the different sizes and textures of the sponges is a great way to let them really explore with their tactile senses.

That’s a great question. People might look at this sensory activity and wonder where the educational factor actually is.
But the truth is, this activity helps to teach young minds that they can learn with their eyes and hands as well.
Giving them objects that they can feel and use their senses to explore does such an amazing job at stimulating their minds and curiosity.
What age level is this dinosaur activity good for?
The great part about this activity is that it’s created for a younger audience, but even kindergarten children might like this as well.
And if you really want to make it fun, why not get the sponges a little wet with water as well. We recommend laminating the sheets to protect the paper so you can get them a little wet without any major breakage
Have some dry and some wet and really put their fine motor skills and senses to work!
Just make certain to steer clear as you’re more than likely to get soaked!

The good thing about this activity is that it’s really super simple to make. You’ll need just a few supplies to get started and that’s it. But your efforts in helping to create will result in hours and hours of creativity and exploration.
If you can, always let your child be a part of creating the activity as well. That way, they’ll take interest and more than likely engage with it longer as well.

- Hot Glue Gun
- Laminator (optional, but will make your cards last longer)
- Scissors
**Always supervise baby and toddler activities
Keep a close and present eye on your little ones with this activity. Of course you’ll be handling the hot glue gun, but also be present in case the sponges do accidentally get torn off from the cards.

- Cut out the dinosaurs
- Hot glue sponges on the cards.
