This clever Baby Toddler Painting in a Cardboard Box is a great first painting activity for your little ones!

Want to let your baby or toddler paint without streaking colors all over the walls? Put them in a box!

Let your littles ones explore painting for the first time while minimizing the mess.

All you need is a cardboard box that’s tall and wide enough so they don’t tip over. Make sure to always supervise painting however!

What is a great first paint for toddlers?

If your toddler is past the mouthing stage and is starting to show interest in painting, these Dot Markers are a great first paint medium!

We love them because of their thick and chunky shapes, easy for little hands to hold.

We also love their bright colors (we have the rainbow pack) although they come in various colors.

We also like that they are washable! This is a MUST when you have toddlers who want to add color to every surface!

If your baby or toddler is too young and/or you don’t want them touching paint, using sponges (or their finger) dipped in water is a great alternative too!

What’s great about these Dot Markers is that they also provide great fine motor skills practice. My son loved practicing the adding the caps back on and off!

As they get older they are great for learning colors

You can see that in the video in the post!
