What do you need to make a towel bear?
I’m not kidding when I say it’s super easy to make this cute Valentine Bear. All you need is a washcloth towel, and some rubber bands. If you want to dress up your bear, you can add a felt heart, and simple black cardstock eyes.
What are learning benefits to making this Valentine Bear?
You can add a decorative ribbon around the bear’s neck to teach preschoolers how to make a knot too.
I’m always looking for additional ways for my kids to learn while making crafts and tying the rubber bands around the towel is also another great way to strengthen those fine motor skills.

Washcloth towels (brown, 12″ square)
Rubber bands
Black cardstock and hole puncher
Red felt
Ribbon
Glue dots (we love using these because they are removable and don’t leave a residue) so the towel can be used if needed
