Step 1: Print the pattern and cut out the parts. Select colored papers for the bear craft and for the card. Trace the template patterns on the papers and cut them out nicely.

Step 2: Take the head cut out of the bear and stick the face cut outs on it one by one.

Step 3: Now take the body cut out and stick the heart right in the middle of the body pattern. Attach the 2 separate paw cut outs on both sides of the heart to make it look like the bear is holding the heart.

Step 4: Apply glue on the bottom back side of the bear’s head cut out.

Step 5: Attach the head with the body overlapping a bit.

Step 6: Cut out 2 long strips about 12 inches will do. Both strips should be of the same size.

Step 7: Attach both strips together by placing them at 90 degrees from any one end.

Step 8: Fold up the strip on the bottom side, over the strip on top side. Draw the bottom strip all the way to the opposite side.

Step 9: Now the previous bottom strip is on the top side. This time, fold up the current bottom strip and similarly draw it all the way to its opposite side.

Step 10: Continue to repeat step 8 and 9 until the strips end.

Step 11: After reaching the ends of both strips, use scissor to trim the open ends and level them with the rest of the folds.

Step 12: The paper spring is ready. Grab the paper bear.

Step 13: Glue the paper spring on the back side of the paper bear.

Step 14: Make the card by folding cardstock or construction paper.

Step 15: Glue the open end of the paper spring with the card, on the inside. Press the bear along with the paper spring, against the card to make sure that it’s glued nicely.
