Let the kids make dad a “pasta-rrific” Father’s Day card this year that will make him feel “irre-pasta-ble” with this adorable Father’s Day Pasta Portrait Art.

All you need is our FREE printable dad portrait templates (scroll down below in our printable how-to card), pasta and a potful of creativity!
This is an engaging invitation to create art for kids with endless art design and direction!
What color pasta should dad have? Curly pasta or straight spaghetti? Parpadelle or rigatoni pasta?
You can choose to color your own pasta (we have this neat and easy trick on how to do that easily which we shared in our rainbow pasta threading activity) or use plain dried pasta
These days, pasta comes in natural dyes too which makes it so much easier than dying your own! We used beet and black bean pasta in ours and love the vibrant red and black colors!
Lay out all the dry pasta shapes, print out our free Dad portraits and add some fun crafty details like buttons and washi tape to make “ties.” To make ties, we simply taped strips of decorative tape onto jumbo pasta shells!
Use cut spaghetti to make arms and bodies. Don’t forget to also print out our punny pasta headings!
Of course you don’t need our printables to make this cute Father’s Day art!
You can have kids draw their own faces and use write in their own punny dad pasta quotes!

- White Cardstock
- Various Dry Pasta
- Craft items like buttons, washi tape, anything you want to embellish dad!
- Glue
Instructions
Step 1. Print out our free printable Dad templates on white cardstock.
Step 2. Arrange pasta and craft items in different bowls or containers and have kids design a portrait of dad.
Step 3. To preserve your art you will need to glue each piece of pasta or craft item down the paper.
Step 4. Write dad a sweet note above the portrait or use our free printable punny pasta quotes.
