Thank-O-Rama is such a fun event to be a part of.  All of the beloved Mo Willems characters including mischievous Pigeon, Knuffle Bunny, and of course the dynamic Elephant & Piggie duo are celebrating Pigeon’s 16th BIRD-day by rounding up readers just like YOU to join them on a bus tour across America during the month of May.

Our family recently celebrated Thank-O-Rama this May. We got these adorable Elephant and Piggie photo props, chalk decal paper, and Piggie and Elephant shaped chalk. The kids and I started brainstorming who we could thank. Since it’s the end of the school year, teachers immediately came to mind.

We created thank you cards with the chalk paper to thank their teachers for the school year. We are so thankful for the teachers who give our kids so much of their time and love throughout the school year, so we wanted to do something really special for them! I just love how these turned out. The chalk quotes go really well with the theme of teacher gifts. They look like mini blackboards.

All you need to make these adorable chalk thank you cards are:

  • cardstock
  • chalk decal paper
  • large quotes (here’s our free printable if you need some!)
  • chalk
  • scissors
  • craft sticks
  • glue or tape

Instructions:

Step 1. Print out the quotes and cut them out.

Step 2. Use them as a template to cut out chalk quotes. Then stick the chalk decal quotes onto the cardstock so it’s sturdy.

Step 3. Have kids write in chalk what they are thankful for to their teachers.

Step 4. Attach a craft stick with glue or tape.
