Fork Painting – Materials
-
A fork (any sturdy fork will do)
-
Washable paint (red, yellow, green), we used acrylic paint
-
Paintbrush (for the stems and leaves)
-
White cardstock or watercolor paper (best to absorb the paint)
How to paint fork tulips
-
Dip the Fork: Pour a bit of paint onto a paint palette or piece of scrap cardboard, works just fine! Dip the back side of a fork into the paint—just enough to cover the tips. If you get excess paint, just stamp the excess off lightly onto another piece of paper.
-
Stamp Your Flowers: Press the painted fork down onto the paper to create a tulip-like print. Repeat in rows using different colors.
-
Add Stems and Leaves: Using a paintbrush and green paint, draw a stem coming down from each tulip and add a few leaves along the sides.
-
Let It Dry: Allow your masterpiece to dry completely before displaying.
Why We Love It:
-
Great for fine motor skills
-
No fancy supplies needed
-
Perfect for springtime or Mother’s Day cards
-
Every tulip comes out unique!
