We know summer’s just ending but we think every season is ice cream season! Celebrate any fun party with these adorable mini pom pom ice cream cones kids can make. They’re bright, colorful and look like just the real thing without the added sugar (yay!). We love packaging them up with these cute personalized labels from Label Circus to make them extra special.

DIY Mini Pom Pom Ice Cream Cones – Materials:
– Burlap
– Light brown construction paper
– Scissors, Pen
– 3″ x 2″ clear cellophane bags
– Assorted colorful pom poms
– Stick glue, Hot glue
– Personalized labels
Instructions:
Step 1. Cut your construction paper into triangles. Ours measured approximately 4.5″ x 4.5″ x 5.” Use your paper triangles as a template to cut out burlap triangles, making the burlap a bit wider so it overlaps the paper. Repeat to make as many cones as you’d like.
Step 2. Use your stick glue and glue down each piece of paper onto the burlap triangles. Press firmly and allow to dry.
Step 3. Roll the triangles as shown and hot glue to the other end. Then wrap the other piece of the triangle around the cone, hot gluing all around. Use scissors to trim any frayed edges.
Step 4. Now it’s time for the fun part. Attaching the pom poms! Have your child help you choose bright and colorful combinations and hot glue the bottom pom pom around the edge of the cone. You’re done!
To turn them into party favors, simply affix your stick labels on top of the cellophane bag and pop an ice cream cone inside. We used a bit of clear tape to hold down the flaps.
