It’s the Christmas crafting season and one thing we love to make every holiday are handmade ornaments! Like these pretty paper snowflake tree ornaments. These are so easy with our FREE printable template (download below).
I was inspired to make these after seeing these pretty snowflake trees on Etsy. The ones I saw were very intricate and beautiful on a stand. I wanted to make a simple kid friendly design so ours has larger snowflakes so kids can practice scissor cutting skills. As well we have only 5 to cut to make a tree so this is a very simple and easy Christmas craft you can make in minutes!
The threading on a needle is another way to improve fine motor skills. Making handmade ornaments together as a family is a great holiday bonding tradition. Kid will love seeing their snowflake tree dangle fro the really Christmas tree this year!
Paper Snowflake Tree Ornaments – Materials:
FREE Printable Paper Snowflake Template
Cardstock or copy paper in white and blue (or your favorite colors)
Wooden beads with hole insert (our beads were around 1/2″ diameter)
Needle large enough to go through your bead
String

INSTRUCTIONS:
Step 1. Print out the template and cut the snowflakes to use as templates to cut out paper snowflakes.
Step 2. Thread your string doubly through one bead and tie a knot at the end then thread though the center of the largest snowflake and on to the smallest adding a bead as a separator in between each snowflake.
Step 3. At the top, cut the string to separate the it and then make a knot so it can hang on a tree!
