Trace your child’s handprint and add paper flowers to make a sweet Mother’s day handprint flower craft!

Spring is in full bloom and Mother’s Day is coming up. One of my favorite seasons and holidays! 🙂 Flowers are synonymous with mother’s day gifts and this year we have a really sweet Mother’s Day Handprint Flower craft to share with you.

You’ll love this easy flower craft because it’s low prep and requires just paper! The special part is capturing your child’s handprint holding the beautiful paper flowers.

Mother's Day Handprint Flower Craft

 

Mother’s Day Handprint Flower Craft – Materials:

  • White, pink, green, tan/cream cardstock or construction paper
  • Yellow pom poms (may use yellow paper instead)
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Pencil

Mother's Day Handprint Flower Craft Mother’s Day Flower Craft

  • Trace your child’s handprint on tan or cream paper. 
  • Cut out the handprint
  • Glue hand to another piece of paper (we chose pink)
  • Cut stems out of green paper and glue onto the hand
  • Fold the fingers inward to make the appearance the hand is holding the stems.
  • To make the flowers, cut strips of white paper 8″ x 0.5″. Use 3 strips per flower. Glue them down crisscross. Then fold them in to make a loop, gluing down the center each time you make the loop.
  • Glue a yellow pom-pom for the center of the flower.
  • Glue the finished flowers to the top of your stem.

Don’t forget to add a sweet note to mom!
