Artist and designer Molly Goodall created Little Goodall in 2010 after she designed and made the “Ferocious Felt Lion” coat as a way to get her son to put on a hood in the outside cold temperatures. An organic success, she began finding that people wanted to know where the coat came from which became the start of an adorable children’s line.
The collection has expanded to include more items, but the Ferocious Felt Lion is alive and well, joined by other hooded coats like Fantastic Little Fox, Wild Grey Wolf, Rowdy Raccoon, and more. In addition, there are pretty play suits and dresses. The prints that are on their apparel are created for Little Goodall by hand using wooden blocks. Fabrics include lightweight cotton, lightweight linens, and linen blends.
Little Goodall’s apparel has a lot of attention to details that make their clothes both special as well as functional. Details such as hidden pockets and adjustable closures, and of course machine washable fabrics are represented throughout the collection. Everything is handmade in the U.S.
