DIY STRING ART MINI EMBROIDERY HOOP ORNAMENTS

My kids love crafting with yarn and it’s wonderful for threading and winding to build up those fine motor skills. Here’s an easy and beautiful ornament idea kids can make using colorful yarn. These string art mini embroidery hoop ornaments look so pretty up on the tree and make pretty handmade gifts for the holidays from the kids.

String Art Mini Embroidery Hoop Ornaments – Materials:

– Mini embroidery hoops

– Colorful yarn

– Scissors

– Pom poms and hot glue (optional)

Instructions:

Step 1. Tie your yarn tightly around the fastener and start winding.

Step 2. To add a different color, just cut off the first color string and tie that to the next yarn ball color. Keep winding.

Step 3. When you’re done, cut off the yarn, loop it through one of the other strings on the hoop and tie securely. Cut off any loose ends.

If you want you can hot glue some mini pom pom’s to make them more decorative.

Tie a string around the top to turn them into hanging ornaments! Aren’t they beautiful? And so simple for kids to make as well.
