My daughter is almost 5 and loves to draw and color. It’s been amazing to see her journey from picking up her first crayon to illustrating fun shapes and characters. I’m always looking for ways to encourage and showcase her art to support her love of drawing. When Hiho Batik contacted me to check out their customized Batik designs on apparel, I jumped at the chance.

Hiho Batik is a cool retail store and art space in Brooklyn offering one-of-a-kind products using the traditional art of Batik – using wax and dyes to create an image.

They offer their own custom designs of apparel such as Boys’ hoodies and tees, Girls’ dresses, tees, and leggings, and Baby apparel. They also offer Adult tees, and Accessories such as pillows, bags, and aprons. All these products are offered through their online store.

By far one of their coolest products is the ability to customize your own apparel or accessory using your very own image in two easy steps!

This is what we chose to do with my daughter’s art. She simply drew a picture on a piece of white 8.5 x 11″ inch piece of paper (shown above). You can choose from the options of placing your design on a tshirt, tote, or pillow. We chose an aqua colored kid’s tee (also offered in pink or charcoal).

Once we sent it off, we eagerly awaited for our shirt to arrive. Once it did, it came in a pretty tissue-wrapped package.

My daughter couldn’t wait to try on her custom designed shirt. As you can tell from her drawing above, the image on the shirt came out exactly as she had drawn it. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the quality of craftsmanship.

I highly recommend Hiho Batik for awesome, customized and one-of-a-kind products for both kids and adults. We were so happy with our experience and will definitely keep Hiho Batik in mind for special custom gifts for friends and family.
