With summer in full swing, we’ve been doing more nature activities with the kids. They love picking wildflowers on hikes or walks. A suncatcher is a beautiful way to preserve and show off your children’s nature collection.

We used Glad Press’n Seal to make these easy paper plate flower suncatchers decorated with the kids’ art. The wrap has a slightly sticky side that adheres well to plates and many other surfaces, so not only is it the ideal wrap for wrapping your food, it also makes a clever crafting hack.

Colorful and Easy Flower Suncatcher Craft – Materials:
– Glad Press’n Seal (found at our local Walmart)
– White paper plates
– Paint, paint brushes
– Flowers, leaves, foliage
– Scissors, hole puncher, string or yarn

Step 1. Cut out the center hole from your paper plates. Have your child paint designs on the front of the plates once the holes are cut out. Allow paint to dry.

Step 2. Place a sheet of Glad Press’n Seal over the front of your plate, turn it over, add flowers, leaves, etc and then add another sheet of wrap, using your hands to flatten and make the two wrapped sheets stick together.

Step 3. Cut around the circle to remove the excess wrap.

Step 4. Hole punch two holes at the top and thread string or yarn through. Your beautiful kid-made suncatcher is done!

These easy flower suncatchers make a fun nature catch and are also a fantastic art project for little ones. They look lovely against the window as they catch the reflection of the light.
