Fall is the perfect season for apple-picking, cozy sweaters, and back-to-school fun.  As we say bye (thankfully!) to summer heat, it’s also an ideal time to make some fall crafts with the kids. Bubble wrap painting is one of our favorite easy painting activities.

Today we’re introducing an autumn twist with our Apple Bubble Wrap Painting! This cute as an apple craft is not only fun but also super simple for kids both young and old to enjoy. We also include a FREE apple template to make it even easier!  Let’s make some apple prints.

Apple Bubble Wrap Painting – Materials:

  1. Bubble wrap
  2. Red and green paint (we used acrylic paint)
  3. White paper (thicker paper like cardstock works best)
  4. A real leaf 
  5. Small wig
  6. Two large craft googly eyes
  7. Pink paint and brush 
  8. A black marker
  9. Scissors
  10. Glue

Apple Painting Instructions

  1. Bubble Wrap Apple Stamp:
    a. Print the apple template and cut it out. Trace the apple shape onto your bubble wrap.
    b. Cut out the traced apple shape. This will serve as your apple stamp.
    c. Paint the bubble side of the stamp with red paint. Make sure it’s evenly coated but not dripping.
    d. Press the paint-coated bubble wrap onto your white paper. 
  2. Leaf Stamp:
    a. Paint your real leaf with green paint. 
    b. Gently stamp it on top of your apple, creating a leaf impression.
  3. Twig Stem:
    a. Dab a bit of glue where the stem of the apple should be.
    b. Place your twig on the glue, positioning it so it looks like the apple’s stem.
  4. Face Features:
    a. Glue two googly eyes on your apple.
    b. Use pink paint to add two cute cheeks below the eyes.
    c. With your black marker, draw a happy smile beneath the cheeks.
