KID-MADE FAMILY PORTRAIT ORNAMENTS

Kid-made ornaments are the sweetest to adorn your Christmas tree. Let the kids show off their drawing skills by creating cute family portraits on blank ceramic ornaments. They can make one of the whole family and for each member. Don’t forget the family pet!

Kid-Made Family Portrait Ornaments – Materials:

– Blank ceramic ornaments (like these) or you can use blank wooden ornaments as well

Markers

Instructions:

Step 1. Draw borders with a black marker around your ornaments as a “frame” to place your portraits inside. We used our Erasable Wall Decal Frames as inspiration.

Step 2. Let kids draw in the frames with family members using markers. My daughter drew our family, her and her brother and our pet Yorkie.

Hang up your ornaments when finished as a sweet holiday keepsake! These would make cute handmade gifts from kids for family members and grandparents!

You can also try making your own blank clay frames by making salt dough discs. Here’s a good salt dough recipe to try.

What are your favorite kid-made ornaments?
