15 COZY AND CREATIVE READING NOOKS FOR KIDS

(This article was originally published 7/13/15  and updated 5/5/19)

My daughter just learned how to read and I’ve realized the importance of setting out a space dedicated to doing just that. Giving your child a comfortable and cozy place to read is a great way to encourage them to get lost in thought and sink into a good story.

Good light is important. Books of course and accessibility. And of course comfy spaces that allow you to sink into a good book for a while. Like our book Recycle and Play as a start to your preschool library or these 100 Great Books for Beginner Readers.

Cushions, pillows, canopies, and tents also contribute to a comfortable reading spot.

Different colors, fabrics and patterns can make your reading nook become a stand out piece in your child’s room decor.

The most important thing is to have fun, get your child’s input and scatter those books around to get them excited about reading! Take a look at these cozy and creative reading nooks for kids to get you started.
