Boo! These little Halloween mischievous characters pop up out of nowhere to scare the candy out of you. Create your own surprise cups decorated with tissue paper as the spot these tricksters are hiding in. Kids will love making these little puppets bop up and down to hide and reveal themselves for lots of spooky fun!

Halloween Peekaboo Puppet Craft – Materials:

White cardstock paper

Scissors or craft knife

Hole puncher

Small bathroom cups

Tissue paper

Paper straws (or pencils)

White glue or tape

Ribbon or other embellishments

Step 1. Print out the free printables and cut out the shapes. Cut the small holes with a hole puncher (if using pencils, you will need to cut overlapping holes fro them to fit).

Step 2. Slide the printable characters onto paper straws.

Step 3. Cut about 4″ in height of tissue paper into long strips. Cut some fringe along the top of the tissue paper. Glue or tape the long strips onto a small bathroom cup.

Step 4. Cut a small X into the bottom of the cup.

Step 5. Decorate the cup with ribbon or other embellishments.

Step 6. Insert the straw into the cup and play peekaboo!

You can color your own as well. My kids loved making their own puppets.

These make adorable Halloween party or class favors. Or make them for a fun Halloween crafternoon with your kids and a few friends on a playdate!
