Update: You can now purchase The Kindness Elves HERE!
Move over Elf on the Shelf, there are a couple of new elves in town and these are ones you’ll want to become fast friends with. I first heard about the Kindness Elves on The Imagination Tree blog, a creative site for children filled with lovely ideas for little ones. Mom and former teacher Anna shared her idea of promoting thoughtfulness and generosity with the Kindness Elves movement two years ago. A set of two sweet and adorable wooden-faced dolls, these kind elves, set out to do acts of kindness with kids during the holiday season.

You can do all the days leading up to Christmas or 12 days as busy schedules dictate. Based on the popularity of Anna’s first post on the Kindness Elves, a kit composed of a cute mailbox, set of elves, and letter from the elves became available earlier this year. Children can write notes to the Kindness Elves and share their proud accomplishment of doing good.
I was able to purchase the elves and mailbox for my kids this year, but unfortunately, they have sold out. However, you can register to ensure you don’t miss getting one for next year.
Regardless of if you have the kit, the message of inspiring a festive holiday of giving in kids – especially at a young age – is what’s most important.
My kids have been loving writing little notes to their elves and following their ideas – simple ones like reading a book to a sibling, tidying up books and toys, and making gifts for friends and family.
