Here’s a pretty handmade gift for kids that would make a lovely Mother’s Day gift or one to celebrate any special occasion. Find out how easy and fun it is to make these colorful brushstroke fabric paintings on canvas!

Kid-Made Fabric Canvas Painting – Materials:

– Blank stretched canvases

White fabric

– Paint (we used acrylic paint)

– Paintbrushes

Staple gun

Instructions:

Step 1. Cut your fabric with about an inch and a half overhang to the size of of your canvas. Lay your fabric down and paint away! You can make patterns, brushstrokes – let your child decide what he or she would like to make and the colors they’d like to use.

Step 2. Allow your fabric to dry completely.

Step 3. Once your fabric is dry, turn it over on your canvas and use your staple gun to attach the fabric to your canvas. Start with staples in the middle of each of the four sides, stretching your canvas in between each staple to prevent bubbling of fabric in the front.

Admire your beautiful handmade fabric canvas paintings and hang them up for everyone to see.
