The kids and I made these easy paper photo coasters last year as gifts and they were a big hit so we put a twist to them this year by using colorful scrapbook papers.
This is a super simple gift kids can make. They’ll have tons of fun choosing the paper, tracing, and gluing them on the coasters.
Easy Paper Photo Coasters – Materials:
– round paper coasters (we got a pack of 50 here)
– various scrapbook paper designs
– pencil and scissors
– foam brush
– finishing spray (optional, if you want to add an extra protection of coating)
Step 1. Have kids trace out circles of paper using the coasters as templates. Cut them out.
Step 2. Place some Mod Podge in a bowl and have kids Mod Podge the coasters, place the paper circles over and Mod Podge over the circles. Allow to dry fully before packaging or using. Add a coating of finishing spray if using. You’re done!
Simply add a few coasters to a gift box and tie with ribbon or twine, Such a simple and easy gift kids can make.
I love the different color combinations you can make just using scrapbook paper. There are so many different designs available, it’s hard to choose!
What are some handmade gifts you’re making with the kids this year? We’re also making soaps this year as teachers’ gifts.
