RAINBOW PAPER TUBE BATS: HALLOWEEN CRAFT FOR KIDS

If you’ve seen our rainbow tissue paper ghosts and rainbow DIY costume you can guess that we think Halloween should be colorful and not all about orange and black!

These adorable rainbow paper tube bats are simple to make and double as colorful Halloween decorations for your home, or as Halloween favors – simply add some wrapped treats or candy inside to hand out to your kids.

Rainbow Paper Tube Bats – Materials:

– Paper cardstock or construction paper in rainbow colors, black and white
– Empty paper tubes
– Glue, tape, scissors
– Googly eyes (we like these cute ones that are actually candy eyes, but you can use any type)

Instructions:

Step 1. Cut a strip of colored construction paper to cover the width of your tube. Either glue, staple or tape to your paper tube.

Step 2. Draw a bat wing, cut it out and use that as a template to make several more wings with your black paper (two wings per bat)

Step 3. Glue your eyes to the paper tubes. Fold in the top and bottom of the tubes.

Step 4. Glue or tape the wings to back of the tubes.

Step 5. Cut tiny triangle out of white paper for the fangs. Glue to the bats.

You can easily unfold the tube to add some wrapped candy or treats. Or stick them on the wall or a door for a colorful Halloween decoration!

Aren’t these the cutest bats you’ve ever seen?
