First starting with handmade sock monkeys a decade and a half ago, the creative maker behind Friends of Socktopus, Clarity Miller, has expanded her line of handmade, stuffed toys to include many different friends, including owls, monkeys, dogs, octopi, bunnies, foxes, seahorses, and elephants.
Some of the animals are based off, of course, socks, while others are created with soft fabrics such as fleece or wool felt. The majority of these plush softies don’t have any hard parts to be safe for babies. These adorable and unique toys are the modern day equivalent of the beloved stuffed animal, reimagined for today.
