KID-MADE WATERCOLOR EASTER EGGS

One of our favorite ways to decorate Easter eggs is to simply paint them! Watercolors add a beautiful effect, whether swirled or painted on with fun designs. See how to make these pretty watercolor eggs with your kids.

Kid-Made Watercolor Easter Eggs – Materials:

– Watercolors (we like these a lot)

– Paint brushes

– Eggs (we used hard boiled, but you can use blown out or any type of craft or wooden eggs)

– Butcher paper, cloth or anything you have on hand to contain the mess

Instructions:

This is pretty open-ended, so have fun with it! Once you lay out your paint, some water, eggs and brushes, have your child paint away, making sure to let each coat dry before adding on another color to prevent too much smearing or a muddy look. Of course if you want a marbled effect, it’s fine to let them experiment and see how the colors blend together.

I love the pretty designs the kids created together. My oldest daughter (6 yo) was able to make more intricate patterns while my younger (3 yo) son loved just marbling the colors together.
