FLOWER SCRAPE PAINTING WITH KIDS

Happy first day of Spring! The kids and I are excited to be welcoming warmer days and sunshine ahead. This flower scrape painting art is an easy activity to set up to get your kids excited about the spring season. Create beautiful abstract art and use flowers as a natural paintbrush!

Flower Scrape Painting – Materials:

– Flowers
– Paper (we used watercolor paper)
– Twine
– Paint (we used tempera paints)

Instructions:

Step 1. You can paint using individual flowes. Add dots of paint and scrape across your paper or canvas.

Step 2. Then bundle your flowers and add more drops of paint, scrape in different directions.

This was a super fun art project fo the kids with vibrant results! You can use thin white butcher paper and then reuse this as wrapping paper for gifts! Or do this on a blank canvas and hang it up. On watercolor paper, which we used, we plan to cut up as note cards!
