5 MINUTE DIY ICE CREAM CONE TEES FOR KIDS

Recently I shared these cute ice cream cone garlands. My son is having an ice cream social for his upcoming birthday, so we’re having all sorts of ice cream fun here. You can take the same free printable and turn them into cute t-shirts for the kids! See how to make these adorable tees in just about 5 minute’s time.

Ice Cream Cone T-Shirts – Materials:

– Blank white tees or tanks for kids (we got these H&M tees in a pack of two for just under $10)

Iron on decal transfer paper

– Iron, pillowcase or sheet

Free printable ice cream cones (8 colors available!)

Instructions:

Step 1. Follow the instructions on the decal paper and print out the ice cream cones you want. Cut around it and decide where you’d like it on the shirt. Place the shirt on top of a sheet or pillowcase.

Step 2. Once you know where you want your cone to go, flip it so the colored side is face down the shirt. Iron the top side (no steam) in round circular motions and make sure you press firmly so the decal adheres. Give it one minute to cool and slowly peel off a corner and remove the decal.

You’re done and now have a cute ice cream cone tee in just about 5 minutes!

These colorful ice cream cones look awesome on white tees or tanks.

We also tried them on a gray tank, which has a more muted but still cute effect.

The kids love sporting their ice cream tees which are fun for upcoming spring and summer time play.

These were so easy to make and we can’t wait to try making more shirts in different designs. Have you ever tried iron on decals before? Let us know in the comments!

(Update: Although the brand of iron-on decal transfer we used suggests the shirt can be washed in cold, inside out and placed in the dryer under normal-low heat, I did notice a few cracks when washed this way. I would suggest washing in cold, inside out and left to air-dry (no dryer) to preserve your decal.)
