10 INSPIRING PAINTED ROCKS FOR SPREADING KINDNESS

Every since my daughter started The Rainbow Rock Project for spreading kindness, we’ve been blessed to be involved and surrounded by a wonderful rock kindness community.

Did you know kindness “Word Rocks” are a thing as is “Rock Hunting?” The premise is simple. Leave inspiring messages or art on rocks to brighten up someone’s day.

If you’re looking for a simple random act of kindness to do with the kids, I can’t suggest word or painted rocks more! What’s great about this project is that it’s low-cost and creative. Go on a nature walk or nearby beach to collect some stones or rocks. And then head home armed with your favorite art supplies to paint inspiring messages.

These days, you can “paint” using a varieity of paint-like markers. We’ve listed a few of our favorites down below, as well as favorite sealants to make sure the colors don’t rub off outdoors.

Chalk Markers
Paint Markers
Low Odor Spray Sealant
Mod Podge

Also make sure to check out these hashtag on Instagram for some inspiring rock designs #wordrocks, #kindnessrocks, #loveisactionmovement, #rainbowrockproject.
