DIY GLASS TILE MAGNETS FROM KIDS’ ART

I love coming up with new ways to display my kids’ art – from play blocks to any of these creative ideas. These glass tile magnets are yet another way to preserve your little artist’s masterpieces. They’re a fun way to recycle and show off those painted abstract paintings kids are so fond of making. Cut into little pieces, they magnify into pretty new art you can use to hang up new ones!

DIY Glass Tiles from Kids’ Art – Materials:

– Glass tiles (like these – note these are actually made of a clear strong plastic, but look just like glass so they’re safer and won’t break)

– Clear glue

– Your kids’ art

Magnetic tape

Instructions:

Step 1. Gather old art your child is okay parting with. Random painted or printed art works well.

Step 2. Cut the art into the size of your glass tiles.

Step 3. Apply clear glue to the glass tiles and adhere your cut out art squares, pressing firmly to release any bubbles. Allow to dry before applying the magnet.

Step 4. Now you want to cut out a piece of magnet and stick to the back of your tile. You’re done. Now wasn’t that easy? My 6 year old daughter and I made a bunch of magnets in a small amount of time.

Now we have a bunch of pretty magnets to hang up on the fridge and display new art!
