Paper Heart Snowflake – Materials Needed
- Pink construction paper (21.5×21.5cm square paper)
- Scissors
- Pencil
Instructions
Step 1: Fold the Paper Into a Triangle
Start with a square sheet of craft paper.
Fold it diagonally to form a triangle, making sure the edges line up neatly. Press down to create a crisp fold.
Step 2: Fold Into a Narrow Wedge
Continue folding the triangle into a smaller wedge shape by folding one side over the other. This helps create repeated heart shapes when unfolded.
Hold the folded paper firmly so it stays in place.

Step 3: Draw the Heart Design
Using a pencil, lightly draw a heart shape along the open edge of the folded paper.
You can draw one large heart and then layer smaller heart curves inside for a more detailed snowflake look.
Keep part of the heart touching the folded edge so everything stays connected.
Step 4: Carefully Cut Along the Lines
Using scissors, carefully cut along the pencil lines.
Take your time, especially around curved areas. Remove the cut-out pieces but keep the folded paper intact.

Step 5: Unfold to Reveal the Snowflake
Gently unfold the paper layer by layer.
As it opens, you’ll see the repeating heart pattern forming a beautiful heart snowflake shape.
Flatten it gently with your hands.

Step 6: Display and Enjoy
Your heart snowflake is ready to display.
Hang it in a window, tape it to a wall, or use it as festive décor for Valentine’s Day.
