This is one of the coolest ideas I’ve ever seen of showcasing your kids’ art. How about turning it into furniture? Designers Beveridge and Joshua Lake did just that with their children’s furniture collection project.

By asking 7-8 year olds to “draw a chair” Beveridge and Lake were able to turn a couple of drawings into real tangible pieces of furniture. Ones you could never imagine designing unless you were in the mystical and creative mindset of a kid.

How about a rocker with a goldfish bowl attached to the side? Or a wonky, colorful “Denis the Menace” chair on wheels?

Take a look at how this design duo turned kids’ art into some of the coolest, one-of-a-kind chairs you’ll ever see. And if you’re handy with the tools, this might just inspire you to do the same with your own kids’ artwork.
