EASY DIY DINOSAUR TEES FOR KIDS + FREE PRINTABLE

We had so much fun making our iron-on transfer ice cream tees that we made a cute dinosaur version. These would be adorable for a dino party or just a cute tee to make for your kids!

DIY Dino T-Shirts – Materials:

– Blank white tees for kids

Iron on decal transfer paper

– Iron, pillowcase or sheet

– Free printable dino template here (two colors, available with scales and without)

Instructions:

Step 1. Follow the instructions on the decal paper and print out the dino template. You will need to reverse the image before printing out. You can do that with your printer setting or a photo app like Photoshop. Cut around it and decide where you’d like it on the shirt. Place the shirt on top of a sheet or pillowcase.

(above, the dino template before it is flipped to be ironed onto the shirt)

Step 2. Once you know where you want your dino to be placed on the shirt, flip it so the colored side is face down the shirt. Iron the top side (no steam) in round circular motions and make sure you press firmly so the decal adheres. Give it about a minute to cool and slowly peel off a corner and remove the decal.

Once you peel off the decal, your image should be ironed onto the shirt and you’re done!

Aren’t the shirt adorable? Have you ever tried iron-on transfer decals? Let us know in the comments!

(Note: Although the brand of iron-on decal transfer we used suggests the shirt can be washed in cold, inside out and placed in the dryer under normal-low heat, I did notice a few cracks when washed this way. I would suggest washing in cold, inside out and left to air-dry (no dryer) to preserve your decal, and also waiting a couple of days before washing).
