Step 1: Print out the unicorn box template on cardstock and cut out the parts to use as templates you can trace over any color paper you’d like. Alternatively you can print directly on colored cardstock.

Step 2: Have two boxes you can recycle, a small one for the head and larger one for the body (empty food or snack boxes work great). Wrap them in colored paper or use wrapping paper.

Step 3: Glue or tape on the unicorn features (eyes, horn, cheek, ears, hearts). Let the kids get crafty and decorate their box using markers, stickers or craft elements like beads directly on the box. You can add your child’s photo as well, to personalize.

Step 4: Make the legs by cutting two toilet paper rolls in half. You can have kids paint them or just wrap colorful paper around them. Glue them on to the bottom of your unicorn box.

Step 5: Last step is to cut a slit on top of your box to keep all those cute Valentine cards!
