DIY HAPPY CARDBOARD RAINBOW COSTUME FOR KIDS

The cardboard costume fun continues. Rainbows make anyone smile and they are my children’s favorite thing to draw. Although my little boy loves cars and anything with wheels, he has a special fondness for rainbows. So I created this happy cloud one just for him. Get the easy instructions below. All you really need is cardboard and paint!

Happy Cardboard Rainbow Costume – Materials:

– Two flat pieces of cardboard

– Paints, paint brushes (we used Tempera paints)

– Xacto knife or scissors

– String or yarn

– Markers (optional)

– Hot glue

Instructions:

Step 1. Draw a rainbow shape on a large piece of cardboard. Use your child as sizing to decide how large you want to make it. Draw out two cloud shapes. Cut out the cardboard pieces.

Step 2. Draw your rainbow lines in with pencil before painting them in. Fill inside the line with paint.

Step 3. Paint your clouds white, allow to dry. Paint on the cheeks and features (you can use markers for this).

Step 4. Hot glue the two clouds to the end of your rainbow. Punch two holes and string yarn through the top of the rainbow. You’re done!

Who says life can’t be all magical rainbows, unicorns and ice cream?
