MY FAVORITE COLOR IS: PERSIMMON

Welcome to a new series featuring our favorite colors. Today’s color is persimmon! Here are 8 inspiring persimmon ideas to enjoy and share with kids.

Some call it orange, but I like “persimmon” because it evokes a sense of earthiness, comfort and warmth. The color itself is like a deep orange with a subtle hint of dark chocolate mixed in. To my daughter, I often explain colors in ways that incorporate the other senses so that she begins to understand the nuances of different shades and the powerful emotive effects that colors have. Here I have compiled a list of some of my favorite persimmon-inspired ideas and products to share with the little ones in our lives.

Butterfly Pillow $117. Whimsical and sophisticated, this accent pillow looks great for girls’ rooms or common family areas such as living rooms.

Persimmon Plushies $12 for set of two. I love that these can double as adorable play objects or cute decorative elements to keep out on a bookshelf or dresser.

Persimmon Art Prints $58 for set of three. Timeless beautiful “Love” prints look great in kids’ rooms and playrooms.
