With Teacher Appreciation Week and Mother's Day around the corner, you'll need lots of reasons to hand out cards. Why not incorporate an art project for the kids at the same time? These beautiful and colorful butterfly cards are fun for kids to paint and add a special artistic touch. These make sweet keepsakes for the recipient to cherish!

Butterfly Painted Cards - Materials:

Directions:

Fold your cardstock paper in half. Draw a halt butterfly. And then cut it.

Open your butterfly and start to paint it with 1 or 2 colors. (body and wings).

Pick a third paint color and with your finger (or another brush) add some brushstroke on the wings here and there. Let dry.

DON'T FORGET Nature is not perfect and if your 2 wings are not the same it is OK :)

Add some dots and prints, on your butterfly with your marker.

Now fold your butterfly and glue together his body (not the wings) Open the wings and write a note to your special recipient.

Close it and put your card in a envelope.

You are ready to give your card!
