10 “LET IT GO” COVERS JUST AS GOOD AS THE ORIGINAL

With Disney’s Frozen holding the title of highest grossing animated film of all times, having grossed 1.2 billion to date, it’s no surprise its hit Academy Award winning song, “Let It Go” has taken over many households. My daughter knew every single words to the song without ever having seen the film (although we have by now, several times too many to count). How? It seems every kid in her class knew the lyrics by heart. Disney seems to have struck gold with this epic animated ice film that has won over hearts young and old. I know I’m not the only mom belting out the lyrics to the film’s popular theme song along with the kids.

Although it’s hard to beat the original “Let It Go” song so well performed by Idina Menzel, here are some amazing renditions that might be just as good (or maybe better depending on your musical taste).

Are you a fan of “Let It Go” or pretty ready to let go at this point?

Alex Boye (Africanized Tribal Cover) Epic backdrop and majestic cover featuring One Voice’s Children Choir.

Grace Lee Cover This gentle rendition which ends strong was good enough to rank 3rd in Ryan Seacrest’s’ contest for Let It Go Covers.

Caleb Hyles Cover A male rendition that gives the song gusto and strength.

Disney and Pixar Cover An amusing mashup featuring some favorite Disney characters you might recognize such as Jack Sparrow from Pirates Of the Caribbean and Scar from the Lion King.

Cimorelli Cover Let It Go goes girl band style with this well tuned group rendition.

Elizabeth South Cover This one didn’t get placed first placed winner of Ryan Seacrest’s “Let It Go” cover contest for just any reason with its emotive and professional rendition.

Connie Talbot How is it this child is only in her teens? Not only is the singing impressive, it’s accompanied by Connie’s well done piano skills.

Sam Tsui Cover Let It Go goes cool as a mashup with some contemporary ballads you’ll instantly recognize.

Straight No Chaser Cover Charming version by the popular a cappella men’s group Straight No Chaser made even sweet paired along with a prom proposal.

The Piano Guys Cover Let It Go goes classical with the Piano Guys’ amazing instrumental version, set in a mesmerizing ice peak setting.
